After a long stretch of job hunting in London, Deniz finally landed a job. Offer accepted. First day. New start.

And then, that same day, he was let go.

He told the story on TikTok (“Unemployed again 👍🏼”), and the internet did what the internet does. His face became a reaction image in comment sections everywhere. Under every new-job announcement, someone would write “he’s about to get denized.” A verb was born: to get denized means to get hired and fired on the same day.
