## What "denized" means

- **denized** (slang, adjective/verb): hired and fired on the same day, or within 24 hours of starting a job. More broadly: let go, ghosted or rejected right when things finally looked good. Example: "Started at 9, gone by 5. I got denized."
- **denizement** (noun): the act or state of being denized. Example: "Three years of uni. Allat for denizement."
- **to denize** (verb): to fire someone almost as soon as you've hired them.
- It is internet slang from TikTok, unrelated to the archaic English word "denize" (to make someone a denizen).

## Who is Deniz

Deniz is a London-based content creator who posts as Deniztalks about job life, unemployment and family. After a long job hunt he landed a job and was let go on the same day, told the story on TikTok ("Unemployed again"), and his reaction face became the "denized" meme. DENIZED.com is a fan-made site and isn't run by Deniz.
